On January 7, 2009 General Raul Castro hosted in
Havana Iranian Special Envoy, Ali Akbar Mehrabian. Gen. Castro reiterated
Cuba’s condemnation of “the treacherous aggression against
Gaza.” Gen. Castro discussed the actions being taken by the
Non-Aligned Movement, which Cuba presides, “to reject the crimes
perpetuated by the aggressor [Israel] against the Palestinian population.”
