| Welcome to CTP News, the monthly newsletter of
the Cuba Transition Project (CTP) at the University of Miami's
Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies (ICCAS). The
CTP is funded by a grant from the U.S. Agency for International
Development (USAID).
Enfoque Economico is a new publication
in Spanish to be distributed in Cuba by CTP. Enfoque
are monthly short, analytical reports providing alternative
economic views to problems faced by those in Cuba and will offer
suggestions and the tools necessary for a free market economy.
The reports are prepared by Dr. Mario Gonzalez-Corzo, Assistant
Professor at the Department of Economics at Lehman College of
The City University of New York (CUNY) and a non-resident Research
Associate at ICCAS. The first issue, "¿Cómo
aumentar la contribución del sector No Estatal en la
agricultura cubana?" was sent recently to a list of
Cuban dissident and government economists in the island. We
have received positive feedback from the recipients.
