Jaime Suchlicki, Director of The Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies and The Cuba Transition Project, University of Miami. Author of “Cuba: From Columbus to Castro” now in its 5th Edition and of “Breve Historia de Cuba.”

Hal Klepak, professor of history and warfare studies at the Royal Military College of Canada. Following his university courses in Canada, England and Cuba, he earned his masters and doctorate at London University. He is also special advisor to the Canadian Department of National Defence, the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Army Commander for Latin American Security Affairs. Author of “Cuba’s Military 1990-2005: Revolutionary Soldiers During Counter-Revolutionary Times.”

Brian Latell, Senior Research Associate, Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies, University of Miami. For 20 years he worked at the Central Intelligence Agency and served, in the early 1990s, as National Intelligence Officer for Latin America. The author of “After Fidel: The Inside Story of Castro’s Regime and Cuba’s Next Leader.”

Roberto Ortega, Medical Doctor, former Colonel Cuban Armed Forces and former Chief of Medical Services for the Cuban military. Defected in 2003.
